This policy explains what personal data we collect on the latvianeasy.lv website and during tuition, why we need it and what rights you have. We process data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the legislation of the Republic of Latvia.

2. What data we collect

  • Requests and communication: name, telephone, email, the content of messages (website forms, WhatsApp, email, social media).
  • Tuition: language level, programme, schedule, progress, test results.
  • Payments: invoice data and the fact of payment. Card details are processed by the payment service — we do not see or store them.
  • Technical information: cookies and data about your visit to the site (see the Cookie Policy for details).
  • Traffic source: when you submit a form — UTM tags, the referring page (referrer) and the landing page, so we understand how you found us. Used only for our own analytics and not shared with third parties.

3. Why and on what legal basis

  • Conclusion and performance of the contract: enrolment, delivery of lessons, access to the platform, settlements.
  • Legal obligation: accounting and tax records.
  • Legitimate interest: replying to enquiries, improving services, basic website statistics, protection against abuse.
  • Consent: marketing cookies (Meta Pixel, analytics) and newsletters — only if you have consented. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. Access to it is granted only to processors that help us provide our services:

  • the site hosting provider — hosting the website and receiving requests through forms;
  • Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) — processing card payments;
  • Zoom and the learning platform — delivery of lessons and access to materials;
  • Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram) — if you write to us on these channels;
  • Google — website analytics (subject to your consent to cookies);
  • accounting and public authorities — within the limits of legal requirements.

Some of these services may process data outside the EEA. In such cases, the transfer is based on European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

5. How long we keep it

  • Requests that did not become a contract — up to 2 years from the last contact.
  • Contract and tuition data — the term of the contract plus the limitation period.
  • Accounting documents — 5 years (a requirement of Latvian law).
  • Cookies — for the periods set out in the Cookie Policy.

6. Children

Only a parent or legal guardian may enrol a child for tuition — they also provide the child’s data and give the necessary consents. We process children’s data only to the extent necessary for tuition.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and obtain a copy of it;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • erase data (the «right to be forgotten») if there is no legal basis to keep it;
  • restrict processing or object to it;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent — without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, write to info@latvianeasy.lv. We will reply within one month. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv).

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the update.
