What’s actually inside

A full school year, a mini-group matched by level, a digital classroom. Below are facts you can check, not feelings.

Mini-groups of up to 10 students

Grouped by level assessment and age, with a spread of no more than 2 years. The younger the kids, the smaller the group: first-graders max 6, seniors up to 10.

everyone gets to speak

Our own digital classroom

Video call, tasks and the word trainer on one screen. Opens on any device, no paper textbooks. Missed a lesson? Watch the recording and lock the material in with interactive exercises.

no paper piles

Twice a week, 60 minutes each

Lessons on weekdays, after school. Groups are built around the students’ schedules: the exact timetable is agreed after the assessment, before the group starts.

weekends stay free

Level assessment at the start

A short online test plus a voice recording of one answer. No calls to sit through, yet the group is still built on real level, not year of birth.

15 minutes

Parents see the progress

The digital classroom shows which topics have been covered and how your child handled the tasks. Open it any time — no interrogating “so, how were the lessons?”.

no black box

IIN tax refund of 25.5%

Latvian Easy is a licensed educational institution. Add your child’s tuition costs to your annual VID tax return (EDS) and get 25.5% back, up to 153 € a year.

Yet more lessons
Classes kids look forward to

A long school year lies ahead. If lessons are boring, by mid-autumn a child finds reasons to skip: “I’m tired”, “too much homework”, “don’t want to”. We know that trajectory, so we build a format where kids stay until May because they want to, not because their parents make them.

No boring rules

Grammar grows out of living topics, not “paragraph 12”. The language gets used in conversation, games and quests, while the teacher gently supplies the form right when it’s needed.

Topics from a school kid’s life

Favourite bloggers, games, music, sport. Not the “garden tools” vocabulary of a 90s textbook. Topics your child has an opinion about — which means something real to discuss in the language.

Homework without tears

Between lessons there’s no “classic homework” — just short sessions: the word trainer and game-style tasks. Easy to open on any device, no downloads, no textbooks.

by the end of the school year

What will change for your child

Three concrete things that both you and the teacher at school will notice.

School results pick up

Latvian now runs the whole school day: when it’s weak, it’s not language class that suffers but maths, physics and history. We close the gaps, and the grades go up.

Speaks up instead of going quiet

A mini-group matched by level creates a space where trying and making mistakes is safe: not hiding behind the class star, not for a grade, but in live practice with peers. The main barrier isn’t grammar, it’s fear. A year of regular practice breaks it.

Interest in learning comes back

Once things start working out, learning gets interesting. Parents keep writing us the same things: “looks forward to the lessons”, “likes them more than school”, “stopped being afraid to speak”. Their messages are below, word for word.

plus a bonus: a habit of steady practice, not cramming the night before a test

M Alina’s mom message

Hello! Alina really enjoys the lessons. And she definitely likes them more than her lessons at school! No suggestions from us so far.

about group lessons
M A student’s mom message

A modern, engaging, well-packed lesson plan: every child is involved and absorbed in the process. After a few months the results really show — my daughter’s vocabulary is much richer, and she translates a lot on her own. Things that used to be completely out of reach.

about group lessons
M Varya’s mom message

Varya is very happy — in all this time we’ve never once heard “can we skip Latvian today?”. So Varya loves everything, and our Diana is wonderful too.

M A student’s mom message

Amazing!! Thank you so much!! And to think we were planning to take a break, to leave… until I realised my child was actually loving the lessons — at her regular school she stopped being afraid to speak, became braver and more at ease even out in public, in shops and so on. Thank you again for the knowledge and the experience.

P A student’s parents message

We want to say a huge thank you to our teacher Diana for teaching Latvian in a way that has our child looking forward to every single lesson. We see the results: more knowledge with every class! Thank you so much for your work.

about group lessons
M Arnelia’s mom message

Hello! Arnelia loves it all and happily runs off to her lessons. She asks me not to touch her homework — says she’ll do it herself. For me it says a lot that she looks forward to your lessons.

about group lessons
M Vadim’s mom message

You know how nice it is that in a whole year at your school Vadim never once said “ugh, Latvian again, can we just take a break”… That means a lot to me. Thank you for the collage and the certificates.

M A student’s mom message

Diana, you and your colleagues are doing a brilliant job! And it’s not even about Latvian — it’s about your whole approach to what you do! A good “product” needs no advertising. In short, the bottom line: keep it up! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

about group lessons
M A student’s mom message

That’s exactly what set your lessons apart: the lightness, the conversations, the urge to speak — you make kids fall in love with the language.

M Eva Ch.’s mom survey

My child couldn’t wait for every lesson ;)) which is not like her at all.

after the school year
Z Zlata G., student survey

It was really interesting: the teacher explains everything in a fun way, and there’s no fear if you make a mistake.

after the school year
P Kirill E.’s parents survey

An engaging approach: our child has started reaching for new knowledge on his own. An excellent teacher.

after the school year
P Alexander K.’s parents survey

I can see my child understands the school curriculum much better now: he understands what he reads and can complete the tasks. A very caring and attentive teacher.

Worth knowing before you sign up

The eight questions we get asked most often. If yours isn’t here, message us on WhatsApp: we’ll reply today.

Ask on WhatsApp

Yes. Our students come with very different starting points. Before the start we assess every child and build groups by level, not by sign-up order. In a group at their own level a child feels neither scared nor embarrassed, and that’s when progress appears.

Age grouping is a top priority for us. A group is put together so the age spread is no more than 2 years, plus the same level. A first-grader will never end up in the same group as a ninth-grader.

We take school kids in grades 1–12.

Groups start in early September; lessons run twice a week on weekdays, after school. Your group’s exact days and times are agreed after the assessment, once the group has come together, taking the students’ schedules into account.

Still sorting out clubs and activities? No problem: some groups keep filling up and launching throughout September.

No stress. Every lesson is recorded: your child watches the recording and catches up. If they’d rather not miss it at all, they can join right from a phone. The tasks and the word trainer stay in the digital classroom, so they can study from anywhere with internet.

We don’t refund missed lessons: the spot in the group is yours alone.

Latvian Easy is a licensed educational institution. After payment we send you a receipt. You attach it to your annual VID tax return (EDS), and the state refunds 25.5% of income tax.

The limit for a child’s tuition is 600 € a year, which means up to 153 € back. Anything above the limit carries over to the next three years. The actual refund depends on your tax situation — check with your accountant or in EDS.

Yes, but not the kind that causes battles at home. Between lessons there are short sessions in the digital classroom: the word trainer and game-style tasks. It works from a phone, and to most kids it feels like a game, not homework.

Yes. If the time no longer works, or the group feels too easy or too hard for your child, just message us: we’ll find another group. That’s normal practice during the year, not an exception.

Three things. The group is matched by level and age: your child is among equals, speaks a lot and speaks without fear. Topics from your child’s life, not 90s textbooks, so lessons stay interesting and the interest doesn’t burn out by October. Consistency: lessons run all school year in step with school, not “one month before the test”.
